Alesha OH! Alesha..
Disember datang lagi..Such an eventful month. This month last year was such a headache for me. First its the rashes-all-over-body thingy. I've been told its quite normal especially during last trimester. Something to do with Pembawaan Budak..Well thats what my MIL and everybody around me were saying then. But there was also this logically explanation from my Gynae : Tubuh anda merembeskan hormon-hormon yang sangat banyak untuk menyediakan tubuh bagi proses kelahiran. Ada sebahagian dari hormon ini mengakibatkan tindak balas di dalam badan yang mengakibatkan terbitnya tanda-tanda merah dan kegatalan diseluruh badan anda..  Not her exact words for course!! but thats as close as medically correct i can be, minus all the medic jargon. 
To be truthful, mama and papa have no plan for any birthday bash for you sayang. We think its better if we spend the budget for the party to have doa cited for your health. So, 1st thing on agenda is to sedekah some RM to mosque for your behalf (alamak..does this consider tak ikhlas coz i put it on net? hmm..  ).
2nd thing on agenda...duh!! surely we would have SOMETHING going on for your birthday. We did have a small makan-makan at Nenek Segambut's place to day.
3rd thing on agenda  ..Mama did plan for a party for you. But no sure whether we are really gonna have it..or we will just forget about it. Maybe it'll be New Year cum Belated Birthday Party..will keep it posted post-event hookay..
Not much of a pictures taken. Today, mama took a leave just to hang out with Alesha. First its the visit to Dr. Wati for her 1 year jab. No delay here coz we're gonna be busy the coming weekends with holiday plans and raya haji.
Alesha was having the fun of her life while waiting for her turn. Biasala kan, baru dapat kaki top with wide open space..its time to practise her walking skill-lah! As usually, with camera ready in beg..i managed to snap some photos..

After the visit to the DR, we went to Victoria Station for lunch. Oklah Alesha makan chicken soup and bread. and of course, tukang perabih all the tomatoes in mama and papa's salads.

With tummy full, we headed to PJ to check out this wholesale shop selling trinkets for goodybegs. I told u ive been planning for her birthday party cum new year party. so, INCASE i did organise the party, i have all the things ready for goodybegs for kids. (p/s : spend only rm50 for 1 big plastic beg)
Tapi sebelum tu, sempat pulak singgah A&W PJ sebab nak temankan mama's friend Auntie Arfah yang mengidam waffle (CONGRATSS!!!)
Nak occupied Alesha's time while waiting for Arfah, we treated her with these rides..all smiley eh...
All chores done, we headed back home. Rupanya Alesha's cuzs had been waiting since 5.00 pm to celebrate her birthday. Nasib baiklah we managed to grab Choc Mud Cake (Cik Nana's fav) and KFC barrel on the way home. On the way back, Alesha dah kepenatan..tido sampai terlentok lentok..

Alesha in December
In anticipation of Alesha's birthday, lotsa photos were taken. Rasa cam nak snap banyak banyak 'baby' pictures Alesha coz after this, she will no longer be a baby..She's will be a toddler. 
On 9 Dec 2006, ntah apa mimpi Papa, he said 'lets go to Tasik Perdana' pagi tu. Alesha woke around 630 am hari tu. Ni kes nak poo poo la ni. She will wake up early if she needs to poo poo. Mama dah agak dah when she started to dig my eyes and nose out..ni mesti nak projek besar budak ni.. True enough..she did her business and started digging everybody eyes out after I cleaned her up.
Knowing that he will not get his sleep at all..Dear Hubby ordered everyone to bathe and off we went for Nasi Lemak Tang Lin and later a walk in a park...Here are some photoes on that day.
We went home at about 11.00 am. Alesha was dead tired coz she missed her morning nap and slept all the way home until 2pm. and so did mama!!
Lagi tentang Alesha..like i said..she had started to walk. So..we had ventured outside to play. I think she couldn't wait to walk too...of course..its photos time!!

HAPPY 11 MOS BIRTHDAY ALESHA RAZAN!!
It the time of the month again ( NO!! Its not mama's monthly 'Red Flag' day Hookay!!!)
It's ALESHA's 11 mos BIRTHDAY!!
Not much of a celebration obviously..its not her 1 year birthday yet. And this time around, I even forgot to snap her picture on the said day. Moi still in Raya Mood and open houses to attend ya!But nonetheless, i did snapped few pictures of Alesha in November 2006.
Now, i did tell u that she started to cruise when she was about 8-9 mos old, didn't i? (I need to refresh my memory here!!) By 11mos, Alesha has finally gather up the courage to walk!! Im so proud!!! She can walk from the living room to the front door, from Nenel Segambut's kitchen to the living room, from bedroom to the living room..well basically she can WALK!!!
Of course she had to walk-stop-squat and then walk again when the distance is far and sometimes, she even decided to crawl all the way instead of walking, but at least i know she can walk!!!
Well...not much of anything else to say today..i have tonnes to photos to upload (plus our open house photos) so..once again..I present to you....Alesha Razan...

MamaAlisha: hehe..kita pun Mama ALESHA gaks. Salam perkenalan. Alesha's DOB 12/12/05. Seminggu sebelum your Alisha. Takpe..pelan pelan..no hurry. lagi syok takde kaki ni. less accidents.
Kak Yates: heheh..aku pun pelik bin ajaib. Aku ni rasanya takde gene MEK KELATE ko tu! Laki aku n aku pure Minang..hehhe..ko ada gene Minang tak? Kot gene itu yg ngikut agaknya..hehe. berat Alesha rasanya dlm 7.8kg aje..Pun kira small size la tu ek.

3 DAYS MARATHON 'OPEN HOUSE'

DAY 3 - 13 NOVEMBER 2006
FINALLY...ITS MONDAY - WEEKDAY- SO NO MORE GUESTS...or so i thought!!!But there i was, after lazying around after cooking Mee Udang that Sunday's evening, i received a call from my cousin, telling me that they were coming over on Monday after work.
Well...u think there shouldn't be any problem rite...well...let me tell u now, that my 4 cousins are coming over with THEIR FAMILIES!! So roughly, i would be expecting 20 mouths to feed and on working day!!!Geez..
Luckily beloved HUbby was a pillar of strength. Never complained (he did but he kept going with cleaning the house - so that doesn't count ) and always there to help - as long as its not peeling onions. I think its a hit to his man-ego coz he can't stop the tears
The most simple (and i must say I'm most familiar) menu for the day was NASI AYAM..Did i tell u dear hubby once said my Nasi Ayam was as good as his mom.. Yup..its that good. Sorry , no recipe for it today..maybe when im a bit rajin, i will edit this page..

All in all, our 3 days 'open house' marathon went well... though i was totally wiped out after that and basically refused to stay home during weekends!! (its our turn to visit other people!!)
...and Alesha, well..we'll talk about her later in my post on her 11 month birthday!!
OOHH...AND SAYANG..THANKS FOR YOUR HELP WITH THE MOPPING, CLEANING, FOLDING ETC ETC ETC...Now i have one more list to add in my 'WHY I LOVE U' list..

3 DAYS MARATHON 'OPEN HOUSE'

DAY 2 - 12 NOVEMBER 2006
Our Day 2 of Marathon Open House was not pre-planned. Dear Hubby was telling me after we are done for Day 1..'Bie, no more open house la..nak patah pinggang..'..
But on Sunday, my lil bro told me he was coming over with his future wife-to-be. Being the same ol' me, i told dear hubby...we might as well invited some of our family friends over as we haven't done that yet this raya.
So, what's supposed to be dinner for 4 (plus hubby and me) expanded to dinner for 8!! exclusive of 2 little ones (not including my lil' munckin -ALESHA)..
That nite, i managed to conjure up MEE UDANG - without even going to the market - with leftovers from the fridge.. So guys..sorry if the mee is not that yummy...
So..my basic recipes for Mee Udang...
Udang ..of course
Tomato Ketchup
Tomato Puree
Chili Sos
Onion (diced)
Air Udang (i blended kulit udang and tapis for the juice)
How to:
Tumis all the ingredients..once naik bau...u pour in Air Udang...Presto.. ...Recipe last minute, u can't expect more than this from me!!

MY 3-DAYS MARATHON 'OPEN-HOUSE'
Celebrating raya in a new house is a killer..i must tell u. There is this expectation from everyone that u are going to organise an open-house-cum-house-warming-cum-kenduri- doa-selamat/kenduri-kesyukuran for raya (coz u deliberately postponing your house-warming)..and deep down, u yourself thinks that maybe raya is a good time to finally invite your relatives to your humble abode.
DAY I
Dear hubby and me were part of the above norm. So 11/11/06 was the chosen date. Partly because its saturday (which means i dont have to take leave to cook-and i have sunday to clean up- and maybe monday too if i need the extra rest), and also because that was the only available date for such event. The additional package that was included were kenduri doa selamat for lil Firdaus (he has been diagnosed for some heart condition - maybe i'll write about this later) and doa kesyukuran for being blessed with a new house..(our one and only btw!!!!)
My dear..dear MIL was such a lady had offered to cook Mee Kari. So I was left with the main course of the day...NASI TOMATO. Having no maid...hubby and me were left to do things on our own. Alesha (poor baby) was 'deported' to inlaw's house as to minimise interference in our cleaning/cooking routine..SO, my TTD (things to do) for the day goes something like this:-
The main guests were our immediate family and relatives mostly from the hubby's side. (majlis for my uncles/aunties insyallah would be in December 2006). You cant expect me to single-handedly cook for almost 200 guests!!
So, the guests started pouring at about 1.30 p.m. Doa Selamat/Kesyukuran was lead by dear Ayah..Once thats done..its makan time...
Here are some pictures of the day...
All in all, i must say it was a successfull open house..though it gaves me shudders to think about how panic i was when the rice was still mentah after the rice cooker popped (i resorted to stove-cooked my rice- Alhamdullilah, it was nicely done but not without close to an-inch hard core kerak!!!  ). I can now say proudly i can cooked 10 pots of Nasi Tomato, accompanied with 6 ekor Ayam Masak Merah and 1 big pot Kuah Dalcar...and managed to clean up for the guest (p/s: perasan tak labuci aku tu - self-made tau!!)..Huurraayy for me!!!!
and here are the recipes:-
Nasi Tomato Ala Kak Marzilah (my collegue - thanks for the recipe kak!!)
Bashmathi - I used Faiza Kashmir
Bunga Lawang
Bunga Cengkih
Kulit Kayu Manis
Buah/Biji Pelaga
Planta
Bawang (diced)
Tomato Puree
Halia
Susu Ideal
How to :-
Tumis rempah using planta..once naik bau, add in bawang, tumis again until bawang brownish...add in tomato puree and halia.
Once done, put pre-washed/drained rice into the rice pot..add in Ideal Milk and measure the water, add in the above ingredients. Stir well. Deposit the rice pot in its cooker..and presto..your Nasi Tomato is ready!!.
P/s : make sure u only stir the rice once the cooker popped. If your rice is still a lil bit mentah...u put a bowl of water in the middle of the rice and close the lid. Contantly stir and press the cook button..
MY AYAM MASAK MERAH & DALCAR - opps...somehow couldn't remember the recipes when im writing this. sorry u guys...maybe later...

MY NEW LOOK
I know some of you have been waiting for these..so I present MYSELF and MY NEW LOOK..
WHY the new look some of you might ask?
Frankly, I have no answer for this. Its not like i had a dream bulan jatuh ke riba etc etc. I guess when the time comes..u just go with the flow. It is premeditated of course. I was thinking about if when i had Alesha. Maybe its time i turn a new leaf now with a baby to be responsible for.. .My covered hair do no change who I am inside. Mama can still be groovy can i now baby?
WHEN was this eventful day took place?I cant recall really. But i know its Nifsu Syaaban. Like a saying goes (is it really a saying?) what better to start a good deed if not on a good day. So hopefully my 'book' has been ticked at the right page now..
I know in these pages you would see my free flowing hair (which i just had it straighten a week before raya). Changes take times and i hope in the future to come i am blessed with the courage to dress myself as a muslim woman.
I hope and i pray (too) that i have enough time to redeem myself as a daugther, a wife, a mother and most definitely as a Muslim. Aminnn..

EID CELEBRATION

EID MUBARAK CELEBRATION
Raya Celebration was certainly tiring for us. Raya Eve was such a heart wrenching occasion. First, Alesha was sick the entire week before Raya. The flu and cough leads to recurring fever at nites, which was mighty distrubing coz she kept on crying and coughing like old nanny.
Then once we were back at our house ( we spend Raya Eve helping Nenek & Atok Keramat preparing Raya dishes), it was already 1.00 a.m. Alesha was suddenly attacked with coughing fits..which leads to series of vomiting and sudden high fever. We decided to take her straight to KBMC there and then!! I hardly had time to put down my hand beg. So off we went to KBMC. After the doc's examination and anal medicine.. we were back at home at about 2.30 a.m.
Raya Morning came a bit late for us. I woke up to the sound of takbir from the nearby mosque. Alesha and Papa were still dead asleep. Papa sebab too tired the nite before and Alesha was boink from the flu syrup & paracetamol. We rushed over to Nenek Segambut's place for Raya Breakfast and ziarah kubur Atok & Unyang.
This raya coz Papa hinted that he never had the chance to visit Atok's kubur after 2 years of marriage, I decided..what the heck, promises were meant to be broken, so Pagi Raya was celebrated at Nenek Segambut's house. Did i tell u dear hubby apart from our wedding vows promised that Raya Eve and Raya Morning for our entire life will be spent at my parent's house in Keramat?? Well..he did!! I think it was more out of pity than love coz he knows that there won't be anybody around at Keramat during that times. As opposed to Segambut, I dont have 11 siblings and uncles and aunties who lives just few steps away.
Again, this Raya Eve, it was only Ummi and me preparing the dishes with kejab-ada-kejab-takde help from my dear Ayah. Abang decided to go back to Kedah to his inlaw and my lil bro was as always nowhere to be seen. Orang bujang katakan. My little little brother, Firdaus was forever entertaining us with his singing..if you could call yelling some undecipher lyrics from god knows what songs.
So, back to my first Raya Morning at my inlaws....
This year, all my inlaws decided to celebrate Raya at Segambut. It was an eventful day. As Unyang/Nenek had passed away 10 months ago, my MIL's house was a gathering place for aunties as she was eldest in the family. Raya Morning was like a little kenduri with so many people around.
And Alesha being a little sleepy from her morning dose of medicine, was of course moody the entire time.
BUT, when it comes to picture time.. well....for your viewing pleasure, I present our Raya Photos...

After we visited our aunties and uncles houses, we shoot off to Keramat to spend Raya Celebration with my Ayah & Ummi. Atok & Nenek Keramat were napping when we arrived..and little Pakcik Firdaus was as always glued in front of the tele at Channel 63. But for picture taking time, all were dress up to pose in front of the camera. Pak Usu was not in the picture as he was out with friends.
So, here are our photos...Can u understand why i need to spend Raya with my Ayah after seing my family raya photo and dear hubby's family photo?

All in all, raya was a joyful celebration despite the little war between Alesha and me when im feeding her medicine.
Pray to Allah that we will be given the health to celebrate Raya in the future to come. Amin....

Fid: Uish..anak bujang ko pun apa kurangnya...Anak dah besau-besau..kita ni pun makin besau jugak..hehehe..
Raihan: hehhe...cepat le proses...kot kot lagi dpt baby girl la pulak ko..
